Balearic Islands

The Balearic Islands are an archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea and its most famous islands like Ibiza and Formentera, are an actual piece of paradise with their fine, white sand pristine beaches and numerous natural Parks. They are called the Islands of Pines, islands of plants, oranges figs, olives. The sea rich of fish with transparent water gives the opportunity to discover and enjoy the coves with beautiful beaches and tasty seafood dishes. Everywhere there is a lot of "movida" and night life, busy cafés and bars for all tastes.
Ibiza is the busiest and most famous island of the Balearic archipelago, especially because of its legendary nightlife. But the island is of the sea, beach, sun, uncontaminated scenarios and nature just waiting to be discovered.
Formerly Ibiza was called Island of Salt, for the presence of Salines (Sea Salines), nowadays a National Park under the Mankind World Heritage. The island is rather arid and the climate, very warm, is perfect for people loving to lye on the sand. Sa Penya, the heart of the old port of Ibiza and a delight to go around, is full of traditional shops, cobbled passages and labyrinths of alleys on which stands iron balconies.
Formentera, which is also rich with white beaches, is one of the best destinations in Europe, thanks to the beauty of its landscape. From anywhere on the island you can see the sea and the coasts are fringed with a large number of beaches and small hidden bays, some of which are rich of caves, almost invisible. This little piece of paradise can be considered the exact opposite of his "big sister" Ibiza: in fact it is a very quiet place, without the delirious excesses of the other islands close to it.
