Hisaronu Gulf
This Gulf, of extraordinary natural beauty, hosts several very important ancient sites on the Turkish Coast. At the end of the Datca Peninsula stands the ancient carian city of Knidos, described by Strabo, a Greek geographer, as "a city built for the most beautiful goddess, Aphrodite, on the most beautiful peninsula.
The detailed route will be explained by the Captain upon embarkation. This can be changed at anytime due to safety reasons, weather conditions and logistics. The route may not follow the sequence of stops as described
1st day
Embarking from 3 p.m. to 6,30 p.m in Bodrum, familiarize with the crew and be knowledgeable of the boat and the cruise. Sailing for the first bay, swimming and overnight stay on board. Bodrum, the ancient Greek town of Halikarnas with ruins of Mausoleum, today it is a lively town, famous for night life and shopping, particularly for very beautiful leather bags. We recommend visiting the Castle of St. Peter, overlooking the harbour, and the ancient theater that still hosts events and concerts in a very picturesque setting beside the bay of Bodrum.
2nd day
Departure after breakfast to the beautiful Palamut Bay. Lunch served on board and you will be able to do water activity. In the afternoon we will reach the uncontaminated Inceburun. Dinner and overnight on board.
3rd day
After breakfast departure to the beautiful Aktur Bay. During the cruise visit to Bencik Bay, a very narrow entrance with steep sides or cliffs offering unique views. Looking rather like a miniature fjord that divides Hisaronu Gulf from Gokova. Swimming activities, lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
4th day
After breakfast, anchor in Emel Sayin Bay and enjoy swimming. Dock in Orhaniye for lunch. In Orhaniye Bay, you will see the unique scenery of a natural tidal formation called 'Kiz Kumu' (Maiden's Beach). There are so many myths about this reddish sand-path going from the shore to the inner parts of the sea. You can have a walk along and there is a tiny island located in the bay, where you can see ruins of an antique castle. Continue to Selimiye. Dinner and overnight on board.
5th day
After breakfast navigate towards to Dirsekbuku and visit Bozburun village. Many years ago this village is famous for sponge diving. Lunch served on board and you can spent your time doing swimming. From this area you can see Loryma ancient town. At the tip of the Bozburun Peninsula where the ruins of an ancient harbor and castle remain, this can only be reached by a boat. Dinner and overnight on board.
6th day
Departure after breakfast to Datca which was founded by the Dorians in the 7th century B.C. Lunch served on board. Cruise to the ancient Caria city of Knidos. Fascinating city not only for its ruins also for its beautiful view of Mediterranean that can be enjoyed from the amphitheater. You can relish your time by swimming and relaxing. Dinner and overnight on board.
7th day
Early morning cruise to Karaada Island. Stops for breakfast and swimming in Poyraz Bay located in the northern side of the island. For lunch stops in the Bay of Meteora. The bay called Meteora after a fall of a meteor and formed a deep crater. You have the opportunity to swim in this "black hole" in very deep water. Also you can take a walk through the underwater caves which is near the Meteor Bay. In the afternoon cruising continues to Bodrum harbour. Dinner and overnight on board.
8th day
After breakfast disembarking until 9.00
